Inventions and patents

The Research Management and Transfer Department offers individual advice and support on inventions, patents and software to all of HHU’s academic staff. PROvendis GmbH (subsidiary and central service provider for IP and intellectual property rights for universities in NRW) also offers students a wide range of services relating to the protection and utilisation of intellectual property as part of innovation2business.nrw (see further training below).

Our advice, which is provided - if required - in cooperation with PROvendis GmbH (the patent marketing agency of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia) covers the following topics:

Prior to the publication of research results which might be suitable for commercial use, please inform us accordingly at an early stage. The HHU Patent Advisor will be happy to support you.
