Federal funding (Bund)
The BMBF's call for applications for Käte Hamburger Centers is open for the third and last time. Funding is available for purely humanities centers - funding line I - and transdisciplinary centers - funding line II. The deadline for submitting project outlines is 15 January 2024.
Each HEI may submit only one application per funding line. HHU's internal selection procedure for project outlines has already been completed.

The German Federal Ministries (Federal Ministry of Education, Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture etc.) primarily fund application-oriented research and development projects that contribute to solving the global challenges we face. Funding is available for research alliances between academia and industry as well as individual projects in the humanities, social sciences and ‘small disciplines’ (disciplines with no more than three tenured professorships per university).
