Processing of personal data undertaken by the Research and Transfer Division
A current research information system is being implemented at HHU at the moment. You can find the current data protection notes for the upcoming pilot phase of the current research information system here.
D4 uses the ZenForms system (web-based form application) for the administration of the Strategic Research Fund (SFF). You can find the data protection information for ZenForms here.
Inventors are treated as business partners of HHU and your personal data are processed within the framework of financial administration at HHU. This includes, among other things, a comparison with EU and US sanctions lists. You can find more information here.
Processing of personal data not collected from data subjects themselves
In addition to personal data collected directly from data subjects, Division 4 – Research and Transfer also processes personal data from external sources. Description of the purpose categories
- Research management: Realisation of research and transfer projects financed via external funding or the HHU Strategic Research Fund (SFF)
- Intellectual property rights management: Administration of inventions, patents and other intellectual property rights
- Good research practice: Anonymous data as information to the Rectorate within the framework of structured reporting to ensure good research practice; in the case of substantiated suspicion, personal data may be processed
- Information management and research reporting: Fulfilment of reporting, information and documentation obligations and quality assurance activities at HHU in the area of research and transfer
